In the first quarter of 2022, the performance of top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Sweden showcased some interesting trends. Data from Sensor Tower reveals how these apps fared in terms of downloads and active users.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting at 2.9K in late December and peaking at around 3.6K by the end of March. Active users for the app also showed a positive trend, rising from approximately 31.6K to 41.5K over the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a volatile trend in weekly downloads, beginning the quarter with 3.1K downloads and fluctuating before climbing to 1.9K by the end of March. Despite this, the number of active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 85K to 90K throughout the quarter.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had a varied performance in weekly downloads, starting with 402 downloads at the end of December and seeing a peak of 843 downloads in mid-March. Active users for this app remained consistent, starting at 3.9K and ending the quarter at approximately 3.8K.

Careem – rides, food & more exhibited a stable trend in weekly downloads, with minor fluctuations around 60 to 90 downloads throughout the quarter. The active user base for Careem remained steady, with numbers fluctuating between 325 and 493.

Cabify experienced a slight increase in weekly downloads, starting at 89 in late December and reaching 73 by the end of March. The active user count for Cabify remained stable, with a slight increase from 448 to 384 over the quarter.
